A SCARCE.41 RIMFIRE ENGRAVED VEST-PISTOL, MODEL 'COLT'S No3 THUER DERRINGER', serial no. 26074,
circa 1872, with London proved 2 1/2in. barrel engraved with a band at muzzle and engraved with American scrollwork around the wording 'COLT' and along the sides of barrel at breech, full American scroll engraved open brass frame with a stippled background (possible traces of plating), first shape heavily curved birdshead butt and factory ebony grips, cleaned of finish
